Project Overview

California Coastal Dream is a three-story modern residence by the sea, blessed with sweeping ocean views and abundant natural light. The site experiences hot weather and intense sunshine, along with the high humidity and salt spray typical of coastal environments. Value supplied the Onyx Collection — engineered for diverse climates — to fulfill the owner’s pursuit of visual openness and lasting stability.

Project Challenge

Facing the ocean under intense sun, the windows and doors had to stay bright and open while effectively controlling solar heat gain.
Long-term exposure to salt spray and high humidity placed high demands on corrosion resistance, weatherability and surface stability.
All three floors feature large glazed openings, requiring a balance between grand transparency and overall structural safety.

Our Solution

Value configured the whole project with the Onyx Collection window and door system, tailored to the coastal climate and large-format facade. High-performance vinyl profiles paired with energy-efficient glazing effectively reduce solar heat transfer while improving long-term weather resistance in the humid, salty environment. The main spaces combine large sliding doors with picture windows, maximizing ocean views on a stable structure and creating a continuous visual connection between the interior and the coastline.
