Project Overview

Vivalon Healthy Aging Campus sits in downtown San Rafael, California. Developed by the nonprofit Vivalon in partnership with EDEN Housing and opened in 2023, the six-story mixed-use building devotes its lower two floors to senior activities and community services, with four floors of senior housing above — all woven into a dense urban block. To serve its open, public-facing mission, the EUROtek window and door system covers every opening in the building, enhancing acoustic comfort, operational safety and long-term durability.

Project Challenge

Beside a busy downtown street, traffic noise weighed heavily on senior residents’ sleep and daily comfort, demanding strong acoustic performance.
Upper-floor windows had to balance ventilation, cleaning and operational safety — without residents leaning out.
As a heavily used community residence, the system needed lasting durability and low maintenance for public operation.

Our Solution

Value supplied the EUROtek series with a high-performance sealing structure that markedly improves sound insulation, shielding interiors from urban traffic noise for a quieter living environment. Tilt-and-turn operation lets upper-floor residents ventilate and clean the outer glass entirely from indoors — safer and more convenient in equal measure.
